1962 – E Type – S1 3.8 Roadster

Jaguar E Type S1 3.8 – LHD – Roadster the 84th manufactured by Jaguar Cars in April 1962 which superceded the early flat floor cars and benefits from the factory fitted floor pan scoops.

Finished in it’s original colour combination of Opalescent Bronze with a Beige Interior and Fawn Softop with an original E Type factory hardtop.

Purchased new by Mr Kapelan in 1962 until 1969 with the second owner Mr Anderson from 1969 until 1974.

Mr Pravl was third and the long term owner of this Jaguar E Type for 44 years  from 1974 until 2016 and was  taken off the road in the summer of 1981.

When returned to the UK in 2016 this Jaguar E Type was subject to a rebuild and passed its first MOT Inspection in 2019 with a speedometer reading of 53,266 miles.

From it’s known mileage history in 1974 when Mr Pravl purchased this E Type it was recorded at 51,654 miles and  when he sold in 2016  the mileage was recorded at 53,266 miles the recorded mileage now of 53,843 miles may well be it’s total mileage from new.
